The Pie Crust
About This Spot
Stepping into The Pie Crust is like slipping into a quiet corner of Thailand tucked away on a bustling London street. The moment you cross the threshold, the warm embrace of a family-run kitchen welcomes you—where the hum of softly spinning vinyl records blends seamlessly with friendly chatter and the inviting scent of spices gently stirred into every dish.
This is a relaxed neighborhood spot that balances cozy intimacy with a quietly vibrant energy. Time feels a little slower here, encouraging you to settle in with a cup of fragrant jasmine or homemade Thai iced tea while the comforting rhythm of occasional laughter and caring service weaves around you. Whether you’re stepping in to grab a thoughtfully prepared takeaway or lingering over a meal, the mood buzzes with a genuine love for sharing food and moments.
The menu, thoughtfully expansive yet approachable, complements this atmosphere perfectly. You might find yourself drawn to the rich layers of a panang curry or the delicate crunch of fish cakes, each plate crafted with a simplicity that celebrates authentic flavours without fuss. The conversation flows as smoothly as the creamy coconut curries, and the common thread is a sense of heartfelt hospitality—from the attentive nods of the staff to the subtle attentiveness to every guest’s taste and comfort.
At The Pie Crust, dining isn’t just about the food; it’s about the ease of connection that happens over shared dishes and genuine smiles. This is a place that feels lived-in and loved, where every visit offers a small escape into warmth and thoughtful, unhurried enjoyment.

The food was incredible and such good value for money! I highly recommend the thick red curry with cod. The homemade thai ice tea and the dumplings were also really good. The people serving were so kind and gave great recommendations. The restaurant is also very cozy and the music was a vibe. Will definitely be coming back!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly from start to finish. It's a lovely family-run restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is personable and attentive, which really adds to the overall experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic and flavourful Thai cuisine!

The clouds parted as I approached The Pie Crust and the magnetism of the venue attracted me inside. I was welcomed by the warm embrace of the staff and promptly seated despite the demand for food being at unprecedented levels. The service was exceptional. The spread was exceptional. My palate felt exceptional. Eating here is like arriving at the gates of heaven and the angel sweeping you inside without concern. Getting into this restaurant is more rewarding than getting into Berghain. Who couldn’t love this place.

Amazing family-run restaurant with friendly service! Cosy atmosphere with record-player music. I arrived shortly after opening and the place quickly filled up after 10 minutes! Delicious home-made Thai food (tried the panang and chichi curry, fish cakes, deep fried prawns in rice paper, and home-made Thai iced-tea). Will definitely be back, can't wait to try more dishes! Accepts card too.

A really fantastic experience on all levels , I was immediacy enamoured by the homely interior. Stripped back, functional and convivial . I haven't such a positive server in a long time, Gazza was brimming with enthusiasm for their food and was more than happy to make recommendations based upon my tastes. I mean I love Thai food so it wasn't easy to decide. At lunchtime they offer an express menu but I opted to have a larger portion as I hadn't eaten all day. My Khao pad Krapow was a little different from what I'm used to in a good way, sliced carrot, onion, generous peices of chicken and red peppers sat in a glistening sauce . Aromatic basil, punchy garlic and just the right amount of heat from the chilli that built gradually over time. I hoovered up my food with a smile on my face. The family were enjoying their lunch at the back table which was nice to see. Gazza was even kind enough to let me try the Larb dish that was made for their lunch . Prices are reasonable, service was personable and the family were very friendly . It won't be long before I return with freinds . Highly recommended

Amazing food and service here! Jumped in after travelling and was welcomed by a gentleman with great service! Made some recommendations (Pineapple fried rice) which were delicious. Highly recommend. My photos don’t do it justice!

My first time here, but it will certainly not be my last! Great service, all cooked fresh and fast, very polite and helpful staff. The atmosphere is helped by the decor consisting of pictures, flowers and quietly playing music. The portions are very generous and expertly presented.
